SaniTwice with Noro-effective Hand Sanitizer

Jim Mann, the Executive Director of the Handwashing For Life Institute, will address the Illinois chapter of the International Association for Food Protection at their annual meeting October 8th/9th in East Peoria Illinois (AIMFES).

Jim's presenation will utilize a new hand hygiene system to illustrate the important role of state and local health departments in testing, implementing and codifying new technologies. He credits their open-mindedness and diligence in leading positive change in the nation's Model Food Code.

The hand hygiene system dubbed SaniTwice was developed for use in light soiling situtions where water is not available. When used in conjunction with a new noro-effective hand sanitizer, Purell Ultra or VF-481, this system offers added public health benefits by increasing both the cleaning power of the hand sanitizer as well as the effectiveness against the leading cause of foodborne outbreaks, norovirus.
