The Issue Incubator will be our focus to advance hand hygiene topics with the leaders of Industry, Regulatory and Academia.
The Hand Hygiene CFP Issue Incubator will gather interested parties to accomplish three goals:
1. To weigh the importance of the current, 2008, hand hygiene issues.
2. To refine issue language and the possible merging of like issues.
3. To discuss industry's unresolved hand hygiene issues, gaining perspectives for possible issue development for 2010.
The widespread interest in our waterless hand cleansing protocol, demonstrated at the 2007 NEHA Exhibition, resulted in funding lab research and the susequent submission of an issue covering hand cleansing when water is not readily available. Protocol and training details are available here:
CFP Issue: 2008 III-027 "Sequential Application of Hand Antiseptic for use in No-Water Situations" This CFP issue can be reviewed here:
along with a related one submitted by Lee Budd who is researching the SaniTwice system in a large casino application:
CFP Issue: 2008 III-028 "Elimination of Open, Refillable Soap Dispensers" This issue stems from Dr. Gerba's (University of Arizona) study.
We expect some of the researchers, fellow regulators and operators to stop by the Omni Suite, on the 20th floor. Research copies will be available for review.
